The Editorial Board of the Advances in Molecular Oncology journal announces a call for papers for a special edition “Extracellular Vesicles: Fundamental aspects and New Directions in Oncology”

Responsible editor of the special edition is Elena Maksimovna Chevkina, MD, DSc, head of the Laboratory of Intracellular and Extracellular Signaling of the Scientific Research Institute of Experimental Oncology and Carcinogenesis of the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology, Ministry of Health of Russia.

The special edition is planned to be published in the 2nd quarter of 2027. Peer-reviewed experimental articles and reviews on various topics in the area of secreted extracellular vesicles are welcome, including papers on fundamental questions of vesicle biology and their participation in pathogenesis of systemic diseases, especially carcinogenesis; scientific and methodological aspects associated with isolation and analysis of vesicles of various origins; possibilities and future of using natural and synthetic vesicles in diagnosis and therapy of malignant neoplasms.

The call for papers for the Advances in Molecular Oncology special edition is open from April 1st to October 1st of 2026.
