Here we present their cancer preventive effects observed in vivo, mechanisms of DNA binding, influence on epigenetic regulation and “housekeeping” protein function. Additionally, the influence of these compounds on DNA helix parameters is discussed that should impact on epigenetic regulation of gene expression and formation of topologically associated domains.</p>
Кроме того, проанализированы возможные эффекты этих соединений на характеристики дуплекса ДНК, что должно иметь значение для эпигенетической регуляции экспрессии генов и формирования топологически ассоциированных доменов.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>DNA-tropic secondary plant metabolites</kwd><kwd>cancer preventive activity of natural small molecules</kwd><kwd>DNA intercalation</kwd><kwd>epigenetic regulation of gene expression</kwd><kwd>chromatin destabilization</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ДНК-тропные вторичные метаболиты растений</kwd><kwd>антиканцерогенное действие природных низкомолекулярных соединений</kwd><kwd>интеркаляция ДНК</kwd><kwd>эпигенетическая регуляция экспрессии генов</kwd><kwd>дестабилизация хроматина</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group><funding-statement xml:lang="en">Russian Science Foundation, grant 17-15-01526</funding-statement><funding-statement xml:lang="ru">Российский научный фонд, грант 17-15-01526</funding-statement></funding-group></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><mixed-citation>Wiseman M.J.
