Essentially new capacities of clinical oncology are uncovered with the help of modern molecular biology methods that allow to determine structural and functional changes of genes and their products. This review examines approaches to improve criteria for creating diagnostic essays, evaluation of treatment efficiency and molecular factors of clinical course. In order to determine relevant markers, special consideration should be given to the research of signal transduction pathways involving key genes responsible for tumor growth and their partners. The correct formation of patient’s groups and selection of samples is very important. It is emphasized that integrated clinical programs should combine traditional methods of diagnostics and treatment with modern molecular testing and bioinformatics methods.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p/></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>oncomarkers</kwd><kwd>signaling pathways</kwd><kwd>germline mutations</kwd><kwd>allelic polymorphism</kwd><kwd>microRNA</kwd><kwd>DNA methylation</kwd><kwd>polyadenylation</kwd><kwd>splicing</kwd><kwd>transcriptom</kwd><kwd>tumor stem cells</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>онкомаркеры</kwd><kwd>сигнальные пути</kwd><kwd>герминальные мутации</kwd><kwd>аллельный полиморфизм</kwd><kwd>микроРНК</kwd><kwd>метилирование ДНК</kwd><kwd>полиаденилирование</kwd><kwd>сплайсинг</kwd><kwd>транскриптом</kwd><kwd>стволовые клетки опухоли</kwd></kwd-group><funding-group/></article-meta></front><body></body><back><ref-list><ref id="B1"><label>1.</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">1.
