CHEVKINA ELENA M.

Doctor of Biological Sciences. In 1990 graduated from MSU Faculty of Biology, majoring in biochemistry. In 1993 completed full-time postgraduate studies at Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “N.N. Blokhin Russian Cancer Research Center” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (FSBSI “N.N. Blokhin RCRC”), on “Experimental Oncology”. Since 1993 has been working at the Research Institute of Carcinogenesis of FSBSI “N.N. Blokhin RCRC” of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation. In 1995 was financially supported by the French National Institute for Health and Medical Research (INSERM) and completed a six-month internship at the Curie Institute, Paris, France. In 2004 graduated from the American National Cancer Institute (“Diploma upon completion of the Principles and Practice of Cancer Prevention and Control Course” and “Diploma upon completion of the Molecular Cancer Prevention Course”). Candidate of Biological Sciences (1997), Doctor of Biological Sciences (2014).

From 2015 – present heading Cellular and Viral Oncogenes’ Regulation Laboratory. Her scientific interests are related to searching molecular and genetic markers associated with growth and developmental stages of malignant tumors of various localizations, mechanisms of tumor progression, processes of extracellular vesicular transport and intracellular signaling pathways, including mechanisms of retinoic signaling.
