Dr. Sergeeva’s scientific interests include:
– study of the biology of multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells in the bone marrow and adipose tissue of humans and animals;
– preclinical medical and biological in vitro, in vivo tests of synthetic and natural innovative domestic biomaterials for the replacement of bone defects;
– development and improvement of technology for preclinical biomedical testing of materials intended for implantation;
– development of engineered tissue structures based on the most promising samples of biomaterials and cultures of autologous MMSCs from the bone marrow or adipose tissue of humans and animals to optimize the processes of bone tissue regeneration;
– development of technology for the formation and use of natural and synthetic osteoplastic biomaterials as a depot of antibacterial drugs and growth factors;
– development of technology for the preparation and study of biological effects in vitro and in vivo of donor platelet lysate as a source of various bioactive molecules;
– development of clinical diagnostic algorithms for the use of known and new tumor-associated serological, urinological and coprological markers in oncology to assess the effectiveness of treatment, prognosis of the course of the disease and preclinical detection of relapses, and also, in some cases, for diagnosis clarification;
– development of approaches to increase the sensitivity of laboratory diagnostics through a combination of several serological markers, the study of the cytokine status of cancer patients in the process of conducting various types of specific therapy in order to develop tactics for individualizing treatment.
