MD, DSc, Professor, leading researcher at the Laboratory of Mechanisms of Chemical Carcinogenesis, Institute of Carcinogenesis, N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Oncology Center, Ministry of Health of Russia.

In 1959, Dr. Belitskiy graduated from the Smolensk State Medical University, in 1964 he completed a PhD program on experimental oncology at the Department of Chemical Carcinogenesis of the Institute of Experimental and Clinical Oncology, Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR.

Since 1964, Dr. Belitskiy has been working at the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Oncology Center.

In 1965, he successfully defended his PhD thesis, in 1975 – his DSc thesis.

In 1984, he received the title of Professor.

In 1986–2010 he served as the Head of the Laboratory of Chemical carcinogens Screening at the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Oncology Center.

Since 2010, Dr. Belitskiy is a leading researcher at the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Oncology Center.

Dr. Belitskiy’s scientific interests include chemical carcinogenesis, carcinogenic and promotor activity testing, metabolic enzymes of carcinogens, mutagenesis and epigenetic changes in carcinogenesis, drug carcinogenesis, anti-carcinogenic flavonoids.
