DSc, Professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Deputy Director of Science, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Oncology and Immunology, Oncology Research Institute, Tomsk National Medical Research Center RAS.
In 1975, Pr. Cherdyntseva graduated from the Tomsk State University with a degree in biology and qualification of “biology, chemistry and physics teacher” after defending undergraduate thesis “The effect of physical activity on glucocorticoid levels in experiment.”
In 1975–1976, she was a senior lab technician at the Physiology Department of the Tomsk State University; in 1979, she started working as a junior researcher, in 1987 – as a senior researcher. Since 1991, she is the Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Oncology and Immunology (previously, Laboratory of Immunology).
Since 2003, she has served as the Deputy Director of Science, Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Oncology and Immunology at the Oncology Research Institute, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.
Since 2011 she is a Professor at the Department of Oncology.
Pr. Cherdyntseva became a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences on October 28th, 2016.
Pr. Cherdyntseva is a specialist in molecular oncology, author of 540 scientific publications, among them 190 articles, 10 monographs (2 international) and 10 patents (2 international).
The main scientific results obtained by Pr. Cherdyntseva:
- development of new molecular markers of tumor progression and response to chemotherapy for personalization of treatment of cancer patients based on interrelations between a tumor and its microenvironment;
- research on genetic predisposition towards breast cancer in Siberian ethnic populations, contribution of ethno-specific genetic variability to chemotherapy effectiveness and tolerability. Understanding of immunological mechanisms of action of radiosensitizers nitrotriazoles;
- research on immunological aspects of malignant tumor formation and progression in hereditary predisposition and adaptation to stress-inducing factors, development of approaches to immune system correction, validation of effectiveness of biomodifiers of various mature for improvement of cancer therapy results.
Pr. Cherdyntseva teaches at the Siberian State Medical University, Ministry of Health of Russia. She had supervised 4 Doctors of Science and 19 PhD students.
Pr. Cherdyntseva is a member of the editorial boards of the Experimental Оncology, Advances in Molecular Oncology, Oncological Gynecology journals, Deputy Editor in Chief of the Siberian Oncological Journal, Deputy Chair of the dissertation committees DM-001.045.01 of the Medical Genetics Research Institute of the Tomsk National Medical Research Center RAS, and D-001.031.01 of the E.D. Goldberg Research Institute of Pharmacology and Regenerative Medicine, federal expert of the “Research Institute – Republican Scientific Consulting Expertise Center”, expert of the Russian Science Foundation, member of the ERS, EACR, ESMO.
