MD, DSc, Professor, head of the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Chemotherapy, Deputy Director of the N.N. Trapeznikov Clinical Oncology Research Institute, N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Oncology Center, Ministry of Health of Russia; Chair of the Russian Society of Clinical Oncology, Deputy Director on scientific work.
In 1979, Dr. Tulyandin graduated from the I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University and started working at the All-Union Oncological Scientific Center of the Academy of Medical Sciences USSR.
In 1989 and 1991, he improved his knowledge on clinical oncology and chemotherapy at oncological centers in Australia and USA.
In 1993–2004, he was a leading and chief researcher at the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Chemotherapy, N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Oncology Center, in 2002 he was elected Deputy Director of the Clinical Oncology Research Institute.
Since 2004 he has been heading the Department of Clinical Pharmacology and Chemotherapy, N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Oncology Center.
In 1985, he defended his PhD thesis, in 1993 – his DSc thesis.
In 2000, he received the title of Professor.
Dr. Tulyandin is one of the leading specialists on drug therapy of malignant tumors and is justifiably considered an expert in chemotherapy. Under his supervision, combination methods of treatment of testicle, breast, ovarian and other tumors were developed.
Between 1998 and 2003, he represented Russia in the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO). High international authority of Dr. Tulyandin is supported by his active participation in organization and management of several oncological forums, as well as in activities of the leading Russian and international scientific organizations: Russian Association of Oncologists, European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO), American Society of Clinical Oncology (АSCO).
Dr. Tulyandin has authored 5 monographs and more than 160 scientific articles.
In 1997, he created Russian oncological site, and he still serves as its editor-in-chief.
Under his supervision, 11 PhD theses on drug and combination treatment of malignant tumors were defended.
In 2001, Dr. Tulyandin’s contributions to Russian oncology were honored with the State Award of the Russian Federation in science and technology.
